ED II Performance and Delivery time ?

i've had a ED-1 for 10 years and will be moving in the next few months. i am considering getting a New ED-II for the new home.
any experiance with the ED-2, round or square building and delivery time to southern Ky will be helpful.

I've had an EDII for 9 years or so and I'm very happy with it. Since it's housing a 22" Dob, I didn't need to put it on a tall structure. Exploradome provided a base ring which, if memory serves, is 16" high. That works well for me, although I have to get down on my knees when looking at Fornax!

I love the space inside the EDII. I have a table mounted opposite the opening which works well for holding eyepieces, taking notes, consulting books etc. I have another small table, floor-standing, which carries a hi-fi system, I need covers for that to block the light.

It gets a little crowded with extra people inside. 1 guest is not a big problem. It gets rather cramped with 2 and 3 is really pushing things a bit.

thanks paul,
i have a 14" sct on a pire-tec mount and riding on the 14" are SV 4" 5" and a lunt 60. all scopes are computer controlled and my main use is Astrophotography, so i think a building would be the way to go.

glad to hear you like it.

thanks,
bob
